Randy James Bindon passed away peacefully after a valiant battle with ALS on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the age of 56 years. Randy showed amazing courage and strength in the face of this terrible disease; it was inspirational. Randy leaves behind a loving family, his wife Judy-Anne “Jan”; son Errol; daughter Claire; brother Brent (Colleen); nephew Derek; niece Sierra; the very best friends anyone could ask for Maureen and Dan Haight; parents-in-law Mike and Sue Facey; brother-in-law David Facey (Michele); and his nieces Maya, Talia and Juliet. Randy was predeceased by his parents in 2006. A Celebration of Randy’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, September 22, 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. We would like thank the Unit 94 nursing team and the respiratory therapy team at Rockyview Hospital, as well as the entire staff at Southwood Hospice for the compassionate care that Randy (and his family) received over the past seven months. We would also like to thank the ALS Society of Alberta, especially Jane and Megan, for everything they have done for Randy and his family. Additionally, we would like to thank Mike Bonner for companionship to Randy and everything he did to assist Randy during this time. In living memory of Randy Bindon, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
