Peacefully in his sleep at Richmond Terrace on August 17, 2015 just shy of his 98th birthday. Reunited with cherished wife Donna (1998). Loving father to Lloyd (the late Susan Sheaffer), Fred (Debbie) and Kathy (Judy Galbraith). Proud Papa to Marc, Chris, Adam, Emily and Great-Papa to Tyler, Zak, Zoe and Madison. Grandpa Dorey to Jennifer and Melissa and Great-Grandpa Dorey to Annabelle, Madison, Jaxson, Logan and Amelia. Brother-in-law to Dick (Pat) Booth and Marie (the late George) Booth. Predeceased by siblings Clyde, Evelyn (Lloyd) and Charlie (Margaret). Dorey will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. He worked as a Tool and Die maker with Ford Motor Company for 42 years of dedicated service. He was an active member of the Community of Christ Church and served as an Elder for over 70 years. As a young man he played in the Gilbert Family Band in Walkerville and continued playing his tenor sax and clarinet in various bands in Florida and Windsor into his late 80’s. Dorey was always up for a good game of “Uno.” The family is grateful for the loving and respectful care over the last 17 years that he received at Kensington Court (Windsor), Seasons (Amherstburg) and a brief stay at the Richmond Terrace. If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or to the Community of Christ Church would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Thursday from 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Funeral service Friday at 10:30 a.m. at
