Pearson, Donald Harold of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, June 3, 2016 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Jean (Lickman) Pearson. Dear father of Rob Pearson (Mary) of St. Thomas, Kevin Pearson (Sherri) of Wallaceburg, Brian Pearson (Helena) of Aylmer and Dawn Brower (Rob) of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Kathleen (Mike), Andrew (Kelsey), Shawn, Alexandra, Brandon and Michele. A special great-grandfather of Avery and Elora. Born in Toronto, Ontario on June 16, 1928, son of the late Madelaine (Lambe) Pearson. Don was the State Farm agent in Aylmer for many years. A very proud supporter of the Town of Aylmer, he served the Municipality as an elected official at both the Town and County levels starting in 1972 and served as Mayor from 1988 à 1994. Don often said (Aylmer is the best place to live, work and raise a family). He was a member of Trinity Anglican Church. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday, 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at 11:00 am. Family interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
