Ens, Eiginna (Pappenfoot) of Springfield Road, peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday, September 2, 2016 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Nickolas Ens.Loving mother of Shirley Hodgson and husband Paul of Nairn, Ed Ens and wife Mary of Straffordville, Fred Ens and wife Jeanne of Calton Line , Bertha Wolf of Parkhill, Ted Ens and wife Traci of Sand Point Michigan, Paul Ens and wife Mary Lee of Straffordville and Mark Ens of St.Thomas. Also survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Dear sister of Edward Pappenfoot and wife Marianne. Sister àin-law of Agnes Stickel, Peter and Irene Ens , Tom Robinson, Bertha and Brent Strickland , Fred Ens and Josephine Fehr. Predeceased by an infant son David, daughter-in-law Lisa Ens, sister Martha Engele and husband Mike, sister-in-laws and brother-in- laws Mary and Tony Zimmer, Hilda and Edward Zimmer, John Stickel, Jake Fehr, Dianne Ens, Clara Robinson and Edward Ens. Born in Ukraine on March 16, 1926, daughter of the late Fredrick and Olga Pappenfoot. Her number one passion was being a loving mother and wife. Eiginna was a lifelong farmer in partnership with her husband Nick, wheat farming in Saskatchewan, tobacco and cash crop in Malahide Township. Her many passions included cooking for anybody who stopped in, vegetable gardening, flowers, birds and making all her family each feel extra special. She was loved and adored by everyone who knew her and will be sorrowly missed by all.
Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday September 5, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
