It is with great sadness that the family of Danny McGill announce his sudden passing on Thursday November 15, 2018 in his 63rd year. Beloved father of Justin Brown (McKenna) and his grandson Trew. Predeceased by his loving parents Bill and Sally McGill. Loving brother of Pat, Cathy Mathers, Brigid Van der Sande (George), Bob, Mike (Sandra), and Clair (Darlene). Predeceased by brothers Mark, Greg, Paul and John. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. His legacy will be continued by his brothers of 81. Family and friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday December 7, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Visitation will continue the following day, Saturday December 8, from 1 pm until the time we celebrate Dan’s life in the chapel starting at 3 pm. A celebration of life will continue at a reception being held at Patchless Clubhouse following the service. In addition, a memorial mass will take place at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1600 Flos Rd. 4 W, in Phelpston, Ontario, on Wednesday May 8, 2019 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dan’s memory may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cystic Fibrosis Canada and are greatly appreciated.
