SMITH, Audrey Jean (nee Corby) à of Belleville, peacefully on Tuesday, October 7th, 2014, at Hastings Manor, at age 87. Beloved wife of the late Grant Smith. Loved by son, Alan, his wife, Sara, and their daughter, Laura; and daughter-in-law, Cheryl and her sons, Craig and Brendan. Predeceased by son, Steven and daughter, Christine. Audrey is also survived by brothers, Gordon (Bud) and Roy Corby, both of Oshawa. Predeceased by her brother, Ross (Corky). Audrey enjoyed an active lifestyle: golfing, bowling, skiing, hiking, travelling and summers at Skootamatta.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Saturday, October 18th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from noon until the time of service. Following the service there will be further opportunity to share memories of Audrey and refreshments at the Steele Family Centre, adjacent to the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society. Sincere thanks to the staff at Hastings Manor for Audrey’s care during the past ten years.
