A resident of R.R. # 3 Blenheim, Gordon Stirling passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the age of 87. Born in Harwich Township, Gordon was the son of the late Leo F. and Retta M. (Walker) Stirling. Beloved husband of 65 years to L. Eunice Stirling (nee Case). Predeceased by his brother Kenneth Stirling and his sister Alberta Little. Brother-in-law to Mildred Huffman (late Jack, 2013) of R.R. # 3 Blenheim and Bruce Little of Blenheim. Dear uncle to Mark and Alice Stirling of R.R. # 3 Blenheim, Heather and Rob Muckle of Dealtown, Lori and Kevin Babbington of Coldwater, Richard and Claudia Gerlach of California, Lisa and Chuck Sykes of R.R. # 2 Merlin and David and Laura Huffman of R.R. # 3 Blenheim. Great-uncle to Todd Stirling, Tracy Stirling, Tim Babbington, Miranda Muckle, Shelby Huffman, James Huffman, Rebecca Sykes and Madeline Sykes. Gordon farmed at the home farm all of his life and was an active member at Fourth Line United Church. He also enjoyed his time working at Ford & McIntyre Men’s Wear. Gordon will be remembered as a quiet, affectionate man. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00 à 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 à 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 with Pastor Ed Nicol officiating.
