Passed away peacefully, with her husband and best friend by her side at her home on December 17, 2015. Beloved wife of William (Bill) for 58 years. Adored mother and mentor to the late Dr. Susan Vajoczki (Alex) and Tom (Holly). Cherished grandmother to Joshua, Kaitlyn, Ethan and Emily. Special sister of Mae (Peter) Smith and Janice Ross, and caring aunt to their children. Marjorie is predeceased by her parents Roy and Pearl Smith. Marjorie is a graduate of Brantford Collegiate Institute and McMaster University. She worked for many years alongside her husband Bill to create a successful farming operation in Troy, Ontario. Marjorie was a sports mom, and board executive, who rose before dawn to take her children and their team mates to swimming practice and gave freely of her time to support her children’s endeavours. She was a lifelong member of the Charlotte Livingstone Chapter of the International Order of the Daughters of the Empire (I.O.D.E.) where she did a great deal of volunteer work, and was also an accomplished gardener and bridge player. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral service to be held in the chapel on Monday at 11 a.m. with reception to follow. Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to the Susan Vajoczki Legacy Fund at McMaster University or a charity of your choice.
