Peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday August 10, 2016 in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Edgar Jaques (1996). Dear mother of Sharon Houliston (deceased 2014), Lynda Ireland (Rick), Nancy Campbell (Ken, deceased 2015), Judy Roberts (Steve), Carol Amirault (Ray), Bruce Jaques (Mary). Cherished Gramma of 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Also, survived by her sister Laurene Gowing, many nieces, nephews and their families, as well as many special friends. Agnes was born in Alma Township, Ontario in 1925. After the war she and her husband Bruce moved to Brantford where she lovingly raised their family and made many friendships over the years. Mom enjoyed spending time with friends and family, listening to music, playing piano and guitar, dancing, sewing, knitting, quilting, gardening, playing cards, (impossible to beat at Euchre). She was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 90. A Celebration of Agnes’ Life will be held on Monday August 15, 2016 from 12:00 (Noon) à 3:00 p.m. at the Charing Cross Reception Suites, adjacent to the DENNIS TOLL FUNERAL HOME, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford.
