Martin van den Heuvel of Brussels passed away at his residence on Friday, February 12th, 2016. Born in the Netherlands on May 24th, 1946, Martin was in his 70th year.
Martin was the beloved husband of Rikie and will be sadly missed by his children Rein and Cheryl van den Heuvel of Seaforth, Kees and Lora van den Heuvel of Peterborough, Theodora van den Heuvel of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Susan van den Heuvel and Paul McGrath of Yellowknife, NWT and his grandchildren Deric, Chelsea, Celina and Nathan. Also loved by his siblings Wies van den Heuvel of the Netherlands, Dora and Bart Dykman of Chatham, Rene and Kathy van den Heuvel of Highgate, his brother in law Ad Mulders and sister in law Diny Sonneveldt both of the Netherlands. Predeceased by his sister Adriana and Jan Sonneveldt.
Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 PM Tuesday, February 16th from the Schimanski Family Funeral Home and from 10 to 11 AM Wednesday, February 17th from St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
