On Saturday, April 8, 2017, our heavenly Father called to Himself Jane Dekker, in her 92nd year.
Beloved wife of Clarence Dekker for 65 years.
Loving mother of Jack and Jane Dekker of Pain Court, Amy and George Hart of Campbellville, Gordon Dekker of Vineland, Barbara Vander Deen of Strathroy, and Ben and Sandy Dekker of Wyoming. Predeceased by daughter Glenda Vriesema (2009), daughter-in-law Jenny Dekker (1990), son-in-law Richard Vander Deen (2013), granddaughters Krista Dekker (2007) and Jessica Dekker (2012), and great-granddaughter Jadyn Dorricott (2006).
Doting grandmother of 21 grandchildren & 44 great-grandchildren.
Jane was the daughter of the late Gerben and Annechien (nee Wobbes) Straatsma. She was loved by many relatives in Holland, Canada, and Brazil.
Family to receive friends on Monday, April 10, 2017 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Grace Christian Reformed Church, 255 Tweedsmuir Ave West, Chatham at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Derek Bouma officiating.
