Sharlene Day peacefully passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Monday, February 27, 2017 at the age of 73.
Sharlene was the daughter of the late Benjamin & Molly Tradburks.
Loving wife of the late Edward Day (2004).
Cherished mother of Seann (Sharon) Day of Denver, Ian (Lynn) Day of Windsor & Judd (Liza) Day of Philadelphia.
Grandmother to Carter, Conner, Nathan, Gabriel, Sammy, Max, & Meyer.
Survived by sister, Anna-Lee Chiprout & brother, Jeffery Day.
Predeceased by sister, Myra Barook.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Sharlene worked as a nurse for 40 years, beginning her career in Ottawa and retiring at St. Joseph’s in Chatham. She was one of the founders of the By-Pass Buddies program in Chatham, the Mall Walkers & an avid member at ARTspace & the Cultural Centre. She carried her passion for gardening throughout her life.
As per Sharlene’s wishes, a Private Graveside service to take place at Pardoville-Union Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 4th, 2017 at the Chatham Kent Cultural Centre, 75 William St N, Chatham, ON, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Donations in memory of Sharlene may be made to the Chatham Kent Hospice Foundation.
