Dorothy Isabella Frei (nee May) passed away peacefully in Cobourg on November 17th, 2014. Born in Cobourg and long-time resident of Ontario Street, Dorothy was the loving wife of the late John Frei of Canto Berne, Switzerland. Dear and caring mother of Danny John Frei and late wife Judith, Bonnie VanDusen and husband Richard, John Frei and wife Edith and the late John William Frei. Loving grandmother of Lieutenant-Colonel Brian Frei and wife Lindsay, David Frei and wife Thelma, Westcott VanDusen and fiancée Carrie, Joseph Frei, John VanDusen and Tonia Frei and husband Pete and great grandmother of Rohnan, Natalia, Emrie, Ethan, Dane and Emily. Dorothy is pre-deceased by her parents Emma May (nee Hie) and William May, her brothers Clifford and Donald May, sister Grace. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her brother Billy May and his family and her close family friend Anita Larsson and family. She taught us all the importance of family. She will be deeply missed but in our hearts forever. Friends are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobopurg on Thursday November 20th from 7-9 pm. At Dorothy’s request a private family service will be held. Interment in Cobourg Union Cemetery. If desired donations may be made to the Community Care Access Centre.
