Peacefully, on October 12th, 2014 at the Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg in her 94th year. Born December 12, 1920 in Kitchener, daughter of the late Henry and Frances Feick. Predeceased by her first husband James Barclay Ward (1979) and her second husband Lawton Greenwood (1995), siblings Marion Baker (Texas) and James Feick (Maine). Loving mother of Anne (Dave) Doyle, Lynda (Murray) Macklin, Marian (Peter) Ross, Jim (Satie) Ward and Tracy (Steve) Belanger. Step-mother to Jim (Ruth) Greenwood. Cherished Nana to Travis, Ryan & Davey Doyle, Sarah, Geoff & Katie Macklin, Trevor & Graham Ross, Samantha & Stephanie Ward, Kurtis & Brett Belanger and the late Nicholas Ward (1990). Great grandmother to 10 great grandchildren. She trained as a secretary in Toronto, then travelled to the Yukon to work in the secretarial pool on the Alaskan Highway in the early 1940′s. Upon her return to Toronto she met (Barc) and after their marriage they settled in Cobourg to raise their family. She worked at the Cobourg General Hospital and the Northumberland Board of Education. She enjoyed her volunteer work with the Hospital Auxiliary and the Trinity UCW. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many trips to Europe and the U.S. A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Saturday October 18th, at 3pm. Interment at a later date at Cobourg Union Cemetery. Nancy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of both the Golden Plough Lodge and Legion Village for their care and compassion.
