Hooper: Vaughn D. (Tic), a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the age of 89. Born in Dresden, son of the Late Harry and Eva (Corner) Hooper. Beloved husband of Helen (Wilson) Hooper. Loving father of Catherine Shaw of Petrolia. Proud Grandpa of granddaughters Jessica Shaw (John Teskey) of Petrolia, Erin Jamieson (Matthew) of Kitchener and great-grandchildren Vaughn, Greta, and Charlotte Jamieson and chosen grandpa of Joel, Eva, Tyler, and Hannah Field. Predeceased by sisters Madlynn Oliphant, Greta Case, Willa Hooper, Carol Hooper and brothers Floyd Hooper and Clifford Hooper. Tic was a member of the North Dresden Baptist Church, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #113 for 60 years. He retired from the Canadian Canners after 43 years, served on Dresden Town Council, and had been a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 21 years. Tic enjoyed working with small crafts and doing needed repairs in his retirement years. The Hooper family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Thursday from 4:00pm à 8:00pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 11am with Rev. John Lang and Pastor Gordon Tetley officiating. Interment Dresden Cemetery.
