Peacefully at home on Thursday March 20 2014, Marion Albin (Al) Kahnt of Dutton in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Pauline [Mills] Kahnt. Loving companion of Wendy Doran. Dear father of Virginia & Rodger Creamer of West Lorne, John Kahnt of Edmonton, Alberta. Cherished grandfather of Shauna and Liam Cameron of Alberta, Angela Kahnt of Toronto.and great grandfather of Ainsley and William. Step father of Carolyn, Julie, Christine, David. Predeceased by a sister Gwendolyn, brothers Orval and Karl. Al served with the R.C.A.F. in WW II. He was a former Reeve of Dutton and served on Elgin County Council. He was a member of I.O.O.F and West Elgin Legion. Friends will be received at the Arn Funeral Home Al 1193 Shackleton St. Dutton 519-762-2416 Monday 2-4 & 7-9 where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 25 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital or Daffodil à Cancer would be appreciated. I.O.O.F. Lodge # 175 will hold a memorial service on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
