Gerda [ Van Ryn] Brokenshire of R. R. # 1 Iona Station passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on October 2 2014 at the age of 68. She will be sadly missed by her husband Larry of 48 years and by her three children Jackie Shickluna , Jody Hillman [Mike] and Russ [Marisa] Brokenshire all of Dutton. She was a loving grandmother to Owen, Brooke, Tyler, Nathan, Jesse and Claire. Survived by her sisters Dorothy [Eli] Wielhouwer, Margaret [George] Vander Kooy and sister-in-laws Sue Van Ryn, Marion McKinlay [Doug] and Linda Yokum [John]. Predeceased by her parents Amerik and Mary [Korbee] Van Ryn and brother Bill Van Ryn [2011]. She will be greatly missed by her mother-in-law Lila Brokenshire [ late Robert] and a number of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Arn Funeral Home Gerda193 Shackleton St. Dutton 519-762-2416 Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 where the funeral service will be held on Monday October 6 2014 at 1 p.m..
