With great sadness, we announce his passing due to a car accident on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, of Feversham in his 86th year. Loving and devoted husband of Mary(nee Tennant) for 57 years. Loving father of Brad(Laurie) of Georgetown, Barbara(Lloyd) Tylee of Grimsby, Fred(Janet) of Heidelberg, Jennifer (Michael Hays) Hale of Collingwood, son in law Dale Hewgill, and the late Betty Hewgill. Loved and remembered by grandchildren; Ryan, Megan, Josh, Emily, Caralyn, James, Grant, Grace, Bradley, Jackson and Oscar. Predeceased by brother James and sister Evelyn Dargavel. Born, raised on, and later taking over, the family farm, Burt was always an active and valued member of the Feversham Community. As a young man, he was an avid softball player and hockey coach. At 27, he purchased the local hardware store which he operated for 31 years. In later life, he spent time as a Councillor, a member of the Gospel Couriers singing group, and many years as the caretaker for Burns Presbyterian Church and Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 2:00 à 4:00 and 7:00 à 9:00pm. Service at the Osprey Community Centre on Saturday at 11:00am. Interment Burns Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Burns Presbyterian Church or charity of choice would be greatly appreciated
