Passed away peacefully on August 11, 2016 lovingly supported by family in her 75th year. Loving wife to Peter. Cherished mother to Anita (Paul) Woodard and Victoria (Gary) Barone. Devoted Grandma to Robert Woodard. Remembered by her nephew, Les (Kris) Katsumata and his family. Predeceased by her parents Marie and Baldwin as well as her adoring sister Pat. Yvonne was born in Yokohoma, Japan, and moved to Canada in 1966. She was a dedicated Reiki master, teacher, and practitioner for 20 years. Yvonne dedicated many years to the Burlington community, volunteering for various organizations, including Breast Cancer Support Services (BCSS) and Association for the Blind. She was proud to be recognized and awarded the Halton Community Volunteer Award in 2015. A special thank you to the teams at McMaster Boris Clinic, Hamilton General Hospital and especially the Joseph Brant Stroke Unit.
In lieu of flowers, and for those who wish, memorial donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Wildlife Foundation or Salvation Army would be appreciated.
