it is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Nick at St. Joseph’s Hospital on August 10,2016 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Ekaterini. Loving father of Angela and her husband John De Luca and Cynthia and her husband Albert De Luca. Cherished Pappou of his grandchildren Erica, Alexa, Jesse and Emily. Reunited with his late parents Evaggelia and Angelos as well as his brothers Tommy (Nikki) and Gregory. Survived by his brother Chris (Anna) of Chicago as well as his sisters Eleni (Christos), Kyriaki (Vasilios) all of Greece and sisters in law Soula (the late Tom), Vasso (the late Evangelos) and brother in law John (Stavroula). He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Pappou was a kind , gentle, fun loving man whose smile would light up the room. His swift memory, the way he told his stories and his sense of humour will truly be missed. Pappou leaves us with everlasting memories of laughter and joy and the special bond he shared with his grandchildren will forever be cherished. We love you Pappou, always and forever. A heartfelt thank you to the Staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital’s CTU Team C, Medical Step Down Unit and ICU for the great care provided.
The family will receive friends at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, ROBINSON CHAPEL (King Street East at Wellington) 905-522-2496 on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9pm Funeral Service will take place at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 22 Head Street, Hamilton on Tuesday at 11am. Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
