Alfred (Mike) Hartman, of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Saturday, August 31, 2013. He was 77.

Born on July 7,1936 in Ayton, son of the late Alfred and Selma (nee Miller) Hartman. Alfred was employed with Hanover Kitchens for 28 years until retiring, was a member of the Hanover Seniors, an Elder and Trustee at First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed coaching minor ball and minor hockey.

Survived by wife Amelia (nee Lantz) Hartman, sons Kevin (Kim) Hartman of Neustadt, Jeff (Wanda) Hartman of R.R. 3 Elmwood, Michael (Janice) Hartman of Palmerston, daughters Laurie (Jim) Hill of Hanover, Lisa (Darrin) Skene of Owen Sound, Melissa (Chad) Mauer of Hanover, grandchildren Melina, Joel, Sindy, Ashley, Matt, Stephanie, Isabella, Addison, Declan and greatgrandchildren Lincoln, Tyler, Kiara and Sophie. Also survived by brother Fred Hartman of Kitchener, sister Merelda Weltz of Normanby Township and sister-in-law Julie Hartman of Hanover. Predeceased by brothers Theodore, Wilbert, Garfield, Clendon, sisters Elizabeth Domm, Rosaline Hergott, Emaline Horst, Berneda Trutter and Elmeda Kraft.

Visitation will be held at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 03, 2013 at 11:00 am, at First St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church. Pastor James Anderson officiating. Interment in Hanover Cemetery.
