With broken hearts her loving family announces her unexpected passing at her home in Iroquois Falls on Sunday August 7th, 2016 at the age of 90. She will be fondly remembered by her children James (Susan) French, Dianne (Wayne) Delaurier and Paulette (Dennis) Delaurier, her grandchildren Tony (Honey) Delaurier, Julie (Mark) Peesker, Kim (Rob) Wylie, Tina (Rhéal) Dumont, Scott French, Lesley Delaurier (Larry Baptiste), Timothy (Lesley) French and Wally (Sonia) Delaurier, her 11 great-grandchildren and her brother Jean-Claude Fontaine. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, her good friend Jean-Guy Mongrain, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband John French, her second husband Clifford Cosgrove, her brothers and sisters Jacqueline Lefebvre, Yves Fontaine, Jacques Fontaine, Jeannine Whissell and Thérèse Fontaine.

Relatives and friends are welcome to visit at Irvine & Irvine funeral home, 641 deTroyes Avenue, Iroquois Falls on Tuesday August 9th, 2016 from 7 to 9 pm. The Funeral Mass of Christian’s burial will be celebrated with Father Léo Rancourt on Wednesday August 10th, 2016 at 11 am at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Iroquois Falls, the interment will follow at the Abitibi Cemetery followed by a reception in the Ste-Anne’s Parish hall.
