Hager, Bruno:
Passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, August 18th, 2016 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 86.
Beloved husband of 64 years to Hella.
Loving Father to Manfred (Susan), Christian, Ingrid (Ray) and Angie (Gary).
Cherished Opi to Amanda (Charles), Lee Thomas (Tobi), Chris (Sarah), Ryan, Heather (Nathan), Laura (Kenzie), Michael (Courtney), Lindsay (Matt), Derek (Jill) and 10 great grandchildren.
Survived by his sister Maria (Rudy Schneider) and sister-in-law Mariala (Jurgen Holzer) all of Germany.
Predeceased by his parents.
Cremation has taken place.
A special thank you to the nursing staff on UT3 at Freeport Health Centre for the care and compassion shown to Bruno.
Bruno’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2 pm – 2:45pm on Thursday, August 25th, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 3 pm.
Reception will take place after the service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
