Passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6th, 2017 at Grand River Hospital at the age of 76.
Beloved wife of 54 years to Gerri (nee: Mallins).
Loving Dad to Mary- Jo, David and Karen.
Cherished Grandpa to Brandon, Adele and Emerson and Great Grandpa to Braden.
Remembered by his brothers Brian and Blair.
Don proudly served for 30 years as a judge. Previous to that he was actively involved in politics and local affairs.
Don’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5- 8 pm on Thursday, January 12th, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 13th, 2017 from 9-9:45 am followed by a service in the chapel at 10:00 am.
Reception to follow.
A private burial will take place at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Grand River Hospital Foundation, St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
