Peacefully entered into rest at the Carveth Nursing Home in Gananoque, on Friday July 24th, 2015. Karl Burns of Brockville and formerly of Lansdowne, aged 96 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothea (Andrew) Burns 1943-1999. Dora Shields-Burns since 2002. Loving father of Ann Hamilton (Larry) of Perth. Cherished grandfather of Lorie Hamilton and Diana Hamilton-Toivanen (Mark) all of Ottawa. Great grandfather of impending great grandson. Dear son of the late Gordon and Anna (Webster) Burns. Also remembered by many relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends at the Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince Street, Lansdowne on Monday from 11 a.m. à 1:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Lansdowne United Church on Monday July 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery, Lansdowne. In memory of Karl, donations to the Lansdowne United Church, Union Cemetery or the charity of your choice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
