89 years passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 16, 2014. Late of Windsor and formerly of Pelee Island. Beloved wife of the late Clifford Churchill (1997) and the late Fred Steer (1959). Cherished and devoted mother of Ed Steer (Bernice), Jerry Steer (Ginger), Larry Steer (Kathy), Roger Steer, Cheryl Steer (the late Harry Wood), Vicki Hillman, Tracey MacPherson (Jim). Loving grandmother of 16, great grandmother of 22 and great great grandmother of 1. Dear sister of George Gardner (Mary) and Joyce McCormick. Predeceased by 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Lena’s life, from the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Fr. Ben Huyge officiating. Interment at North Cemetery, Pelee Island on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 12 noon. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundations would be appreciated by the family.
