GIBSON, Gina à passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 while in palliative care at University Hospital, London at the age of 86 years. Gina is survived by her two daughters Nicole Crozier of London and Simone Reynolds (John) of New Britain, Connecticut, USA, and by her grandchildren John Gibson Reynolds (Allison) of New York City, Daniel Ashton Reynolds of West Hartford, Connecticut, and Adele Elyse Crozier of London. Gina is also survived by her sister Ginette Leach of Brighton, Sussex, England, and her nephew Mark Leach of Manchester, England. Predeceased by her former husband Ray Gibson (2013). She was born in London, England to the late Frederick Bell-Syer and the late Connie Georgie (Truefitt) Bell-Syer. Gina was raised in The Old House in Worthing, Sussex where she loved the rose gardens planted by her grandfather the renowned Victorian architect George Truefitt. In 1950 she embarked on her own in an ocean liner carrying her to a new life in Canada. Gina spent most of her life here in London, and was employed as a survey researcher by York University and a market researcher by Insights. True to her British heritage, she loved gardening, flower arranging, and was an active member of the Garden Club of London, in addition to pursuing her other interests in the arts and travel. Cremation has already taken place and a visitation celebrating Gina’s life will be held at A. Millard George Funeral Home à Reception Centre, 60 Ridout Street South, London (located on the south east corner of the parking lot) on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 4:30 to 7:00 pm. Memorial donations to the Down Syndrome Research Institute at 4105 Catherine Street, Dorchester, ON N0L 1G0 (www.dsri.ca) would be appreciated by the family, if so desired.
