MUSSAK, Eugenie Daniloff – Eugenie Danilff Mussak, age 97, passed away to be with the Lord surrounded by family in Clarkston, Michigan on Tuesday May 9, 2017 at The Pines of Clarkston Memory Care. Born in Sevastopol, Russia on Jan 8, 1920 her family immigrated to France. With her upbringing and time in Europe, she quickly learned three languages and spoke fluent French, Russian, German and English. In 1955, her husband, Erich, and son, Alexander, immigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she spent the most of her adult life. After acquiring a Master’s Degree from UW-Milwaukee, she taught foreign languages at MATC until she retired in 1993. She loved to travel, was a voracious reader, loved history, scholarly pursuits and classical music/opera. Eugenie had a boundless energy and gave herself selflessly to her family, friends, and students over the years in countless ways with love and wisdom. She was a devout follower of the Russian Orthodox Christian faith. Eugenie passed away as the matriarch of the Daniloff Family and was the last of five siblings to pass away, deceased brothers Nick and Serge sisters Olga and Helen. Her soul meets her husband, Erich, in heaven and is survived by her son Alexander (Denise), grandson Erich (Lisa), great-granddaughter Zara, 4 step grandchildren Brett (Juliet), Troy, Justin, and Lisa, step grandsons Kallen and Landon, sister in-law Margaret Daniloff, nephews Oleg (Janet), Marc, David, and nieces Helen (Robert), Debbie (Don), Natasha. Several great nieces and nephews, and many cousins living in France. The Funeral will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017 in London, Ontario at Russian Orthodox Church of Christ The Saviour, 140 Fairview Ave. A prayer service will be held in the church on Monday May 15 at 6 pm. She will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery next to her closest family.
