Peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Saturday, September 27th, 2014, Joan Doreen Elliott of London, in her 61st year. Born in Listowel and raised in Brussels. Cherished sister of Doug Elliott (Dianne) of Bayview, NSW Australia, John Elliott (Deb) of Sarnia and Barb Elliott of London. Much loved aunt of Dan Elliott (Katie), Jeff Elliott (Danielle) and Tom Elliott. Predeceased by her parents George and Helen (Currie) Elliott, and by her sister Mary. A caring and dedicated Registered Nurse, Joan was proud to have served in her profession for over 35 years prior to her recent retirement. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 à 4:00 and 7:00 à 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, September 30th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment in Brussels Cemetery at a later date. The Elliott family would like to extend their deep appreciation and thanks to Dr. Sanatani, Dr. Schreier, Dr. Pawliszyn and the incredible nurses and support staff of Victoria Hospital’s 6th floor Palliative Unit. Your care and compassion shown to Joan and her family throughout her illness were second to none.
