Peacefully at McCormick Home, with family at his side, on Tuesday, March 29th, 2016, John Verboven of London in his 84th year. Gentle and loving dad of Cathy (Casey) Funstin, Anita Cairns, Lori-Anne (Paul) O’Brien and Rob (Laura) Verboven. Proud grandpa to Joshua (Renee) Wright, Jessica (Emilio) Wright and Joanne Funstin. Survived also by his first wife and forever friend Antonia Goos and by his loving companion Mary Lou Versteegh. John’s family wish to express their gratitude to the staff of McCormick Home with a special thanks to those on Memory Lane for their loving care and compassion. Visitation will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday from 7:00 à 9:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. George Catholic Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, on Thursday, March 31st, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of John are asked to consider the Alzheimer Outreach Services at McCormick Home.
