Peacefully surrounded by family at University Hospital on Monday, June 8, 2015, at the age of 100. Beloved husband of Peggy (née Johnson). Cherished father of Barry and his wife Gwen, Mark and his wife Joanne, Rob and his wife Arij, Michele, Eric and his wife Jenn. Grandfather of Gabrial, Nicole, Yvonne, Daunene, Barry, Liam, Kaid, Laura, Matthew, Taylor, Celina, Meagan and Aiden. Brother of Gabrial, Marie and Bernadette. Brother-in-law of Roberta and Charlotte. Daughter-in-law Martha Straughan. Predeceased by his parents Donat and Josephine, brother Gerald, and sisters Margot, Therese and Claire. Marcel was a friend of many and loved by all with his happy and loving personality, witty sense of humour and devotion to his family. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the London Humane Society.
