KAREN BARNETT (nee McNAMARA) 1961 – 2015 It is with sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved Karen, wife of Mark Barnett, daughter of Maisie and Reginald (deceased) McNamara. Loving sister to Anne and Brian Clark, Dorothy McNamara and Marie and Achille (Kelly, deceased) Bianchi. Karen will be dearly missed by nieces and nephews, Michael, Michele, Bethanne, Gregory, Brooks and Brendan and great-nieces and great-nephews, Riley, Graeme, Meredith, Olive, Uma and Elle. Karen fought a long and courageous battle that ended soon after a final farewell to her beloved home away from home in the Bahamas. Karen loved dogs and had a long-standing relationship with BHS – Bahamas Humane Society, championing the cause to rescue Potcakes. Karen will be missed most by Max, her beloved German Shepherd. Many colleagues in the Auto Fabrication business will miss Karen’s enthusiasm and salesmanship through many years and dedication to many suppliers and customers. Visitation at the DIXON- GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St. N. (Markham Rd.), Markham, Ontario, on Friday, December 11th from 12 noon until time of Memorial Service in the chapel at 1 p.m., with reception to follow. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Markham Stouffville Hospital in Karen’s name.
