Joan peacefully passed on June 9, 2017 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. Born and raised in Collingwood, then moved to Toronto in her teenage years where she eventually met her beloved Husband of 56 years, Mike. She was a wonderful Mum to Karen, endearing Mother-in-law to husband Mike of Santa Barbara, and an incredible Grandmother to Rachel. Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She had a unique ability to make friends wherever she went, and her fun-loving energy brightened every room. Many thanks to Dr. Breen and all the nursing staff who took care of Joan, especially Alyssa. Visitation will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home (56 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville) on Wednesday, June 14th from 6-8pm. Private family funeral service to be held at a later date.
