Peacefully passed away at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia on Thursday August 18th, 2016 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Hilka (nee Hirvonen). Much loved father of Delbert Godfrey, Verva Gaebel, the late Debbie Blodgett. Brian Godfrey (Lisa), Eric Godfrey (Stephanie), and Jamie Godfrey. Loving grandfather of Cindy, Gary, Russell, Alex, Sarah, Harley, Tuula, Nicholas, and the late Robbie; great grandfather of ten great grandchildren. Dear brother of Ethel Davis; predeceased by siblings Hazel, Goldie, George, Gordon, Keith, Josephine, Lloyd, Marshall, Gerald, and Roy. James will be lovingly remembered by many family and friends.
A visitation will be held at the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle, 375 Westmount Drive N. Orillia on Thursday August 25th 2016 from 11a.m. until time of Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 pm. Followed by a reception. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle through the Simcoe Funeral Home, 38 James Street E. Orillia ON.
