Avis de décès de Ian Edward Gunn,
Gunn, Ian Edward

Peacefully on his own terms in control of his own destiny with his family by his side. Loving husband of 47 years to Maureen Mary Gunn. Beloved father of Frank (Kellie) and Hilary (Gerard). Cherished Grand-dad to Marcus (Major Monster), Orionn (Minor Monster), Sophie (Mini Monster), and extended children to whom he was Grand-dad: Jordan, Adam, Mellissa, Samantha, Maya, Aden, and Micaela.
Son of Eliza and Henry, the youngest of six brothers, fondly referred to as (titch.) Survived by one, Harold, and a large loving extended family in England.
Arrived in Montreal on the last voyage of the Empress of France to begin his adventure in the new world. After a few jobs, he found his home at Carleton University, programming one of the world’s first library search systems. Known for his love of fine home building, gardening, cooking, and an endless desire to engage in child like play with young people. He had an unending reservoir of generosity, spirit and effort to help anyone in need, especially the Glen Avenue community.
After a fun filled life raising two children with his life partner Maureen, they embarked on a long happy retirement filled with travels, adventure, and a pursuit of their passions.
A man, who never stopped, has finally come to rest.
In lieu of flowers donations to Habitat for Humanity would be appreciated.
