Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday October 22, 2015 at Georgian Heights Nursing Home, Owen Sound. Doris Woods (nee McInnis) in her 91st year. Wife of the late Elton Woods. Dear mother of Marilyn Carpenter of Owen Sound, Donna and her husband Lloyd Lang of Owen Sound, Wayne and his wife Ruth of R.R. #3 Owen Sound, Brad of Meaford, and Lisa Cousins of Alliston. Sadly missed by her Grandchildren David, Iain, Mark, Cheryl, Kevin, Jacob, Robert, Stephen, and Christina. Also missed by her Great Grandchildren Austin, Rosalie, Ryan, and Courtney. Survived by her brothers Bev Byers and his wife Shirley of Owen Sound, Orville Byers and his wife Jeannie of Barrie, and his sister Lola Hicks of Midland. Also survived by her sister-in-law Merle and her husband John Cooper of Meaford, and daughter-in-law Dianne Woods of Bolton. Predeceased by her sons Larry and Douglas, sister Winnibelle Robinson, and by her parents Wesley McInnis, and Irene Byers. Friends are invited to Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. A funeral will be conducted in the chapel on Monday October 26, 2015 at 11 o’clock. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The family would like to express to everyone at Georgian Heights, their appreciation for all the love and care they provided for their Mom over the last 8 years. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
