The loving son of William Henry and Doris Lavina Spencer (nee Rewbridge), loved husband for 57 years of Patricia Kathleen (nee Maloney). Loving father of Gareth and Lewis (Heather), grandfather of Katrina (Roman), Abigail and Dylan and great grandfather to Ofelia. Neil was born in Resolven, S.Wales and was extremely proud of his Welsh heritage, his family moved to London where Neil attended St Marylebone Grammar School, graduated from London University, Imperial College with an Honors Degree in Electrical Engineering. Neil was a long time employee of Canadian General Electric where he made many friends, a longtime member of the Kawartha Golf and Country Club where he made many more. Neil played Rugby from age eleven, the Welsh National game, and remained an avid fan and supporter all his life. Neil was also a big movie fan. Neil lived with cancer for 5 years; he died peacefully and quickly at his home and will be dearly missed, as Neil wished cremation has taken place. Please come to remember Neil at ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough, on Friday January 30th from 1:00 à 4:00 p.m. where light refreshments will be served. In honour of Neil donations to the Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Society of Peterborough.
