Lietz, Victor Norman à Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side on Sunday January 18, 2015 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre in his 55th year. Beloved and cherished husband of Debbie (Taylor). Loving and devoted father of Heather and Shannon. Son of the late Bernhard and Mary Lietz. Brother of Michael Lietz. Dear son-in-law of the late Don and Barb Taylor. Brother -in-law of Kathy and Paul Caspar and Scott and Sue Taylor. Uncle Vic will be sadly missed by Michael, Evan (Penny), Julie, Lucas and Holly. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends in both Canada and Germany. Vic’s inner strength, positive attitude and faith allowed us as a family to enjoy a year full of great adventures and memories that will last us an eternity. Friends and family will be received at St. John’s Anglican Church, 99 Brock Street, Peterborough from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday January 31, 2015. A Celebration of Life will commence at 12:30 p.m. followed immediately with a reception. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation of non perishable food items can be brought to the service for the Lighthouse Pantry. Monetary donations can be made to any of the following charities the Warming Room (cheques payable to St. John’s Church), Sick Kids Hospital, Barbara’s Butterflies of Hope (Leukemia and Lymphoma), P.R.H.C. Palliative Unit or a charity of your choice in memory of Vic.
Debbie, Heather and Shannon are especially indebted to lifelong friends Lori and Steven Bridgman for their constant and continued love and support. Special thanks to Dr. Brent Stoker and Dr. Stephan Ragaz and the amazing doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit especially Lori Laperle, Linda Clark and Judy Kilby.
