Absent from the body, at home with the Lord.) On December 21, 2016, Rosalie Elizabeth Stewart went home suddenly to be with her heavenly Father. Rosalie was born in Boston, MA on February 24, 1931, the daughter of Dorothy Blackburn (deceased); she was raised by her grandmother, Abigail Blackburn, in Brooklyn, Hants County, Nova Scotia. She was a loving wife to Douglas Stewart for 62 years, wonderful mother to Debbie, Brian (Carol), and Patrick, and a fun-loving grandmother to Mark, Rachel, and Emma. Rosalie was a generous and caring person who was always thinking of others. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and an active member at Willowdale Baptist Church, North York, for 40 years. Rosalie will be missed by her relatives and many friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends at MARSHALL FUNERAL HOME, 10366 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill on Monday, January 2 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, January 3 at 11 am, followed by refreshments. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Willowdale Baptist Church would be appreciated.
