Peacefully, with family by her side, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at London Health & Sciences Centre à University Hospital, Dianne Florence Harris (nee Brown) of London, formerly of Uxbridge, passed away at the age of 68, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Beloved wife of George for 45 years. Loving mother of Greg (Kathy) and Dan (Jenn). Cherished grandmother of Adelle and Grace. Dear sister of Ronald (Sharon) Brown and Robert (Pat) Brown, and sister-in-law of Beth (the late Ray) Bettridge. Remembered by 10 nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered by her longtime loyal friend Karen Cadman. Predeceased by her parents Chester and Florence Brown. Dianne was a generous volunteer of her time. She received a 28 year award for volunteering with the Uxbridge Scott Agricultural Society. She also volunteered with the Uxbridge CCAC as a driver for many years, as well as volunteering for the Uxbridge Minor Hockey Ladies Auxiliary for 12 years. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Thursday, June 8, 2017, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A burial of ashes will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, on Friday, June 9, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Parkinson’s Society Southwestern Ontario (cheques only at the funeral home please).
