Peacefully at Bluewater Health on Monday, August 19, 2013, Donald Raymond Elvy passed away at the age of 88. Donald will be dearly missed by his wife Alice Elvy of 64 years; his children, Elizabeth (Roy) Bouman, Kathryn (Don) Richardson and Mary (Kieth) Ewer; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Ken) Sparks, Matthew (Jen), Bob (Suzanne) Richardson, Holly (Scott) Meriam, Donald Jeffrey Richardson, Wes Ewer and Jessica Ewer; and by his 4 great granddaughters Celeste, Naya, Chloe and Harper. Donald is survived by many nieces and nephews. Don proudly served with the Essex Scottish Regiment in Europe. The family would like to thank Jan and the nurses on the 4th floor medical for all their love and support given during Don’s time there. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, at 2:00 p.m. with an hour visitation prior to the service. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Christ Lutheran Church, Bluewater Health Foundation or the Sarnia Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 62 (cheques only at the funeral home please).
