It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Eunice Jean (Curts) Cripps at Bluewater Health on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Walter James Cripps (2004). Loving mother of David and Wendy Cripps of Regina, Larry and the late Cathi Cripps of Whitehorse, Richard and Debbie Cripps of Calgary, Cameron and Brenda Cripps of Ballinafad, and Kevin and Chandra Cripps of Niagara Falls. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren; Jeri, David, Jamie, Erica, Adam, Lauren, Evan, Julie, Bradley, Mark, Kayla, Jacob, Kristin, Sydney and great-grandmother of 4; Ella, Kahlan, Ronin and Mila. Survived by sisters; Norma (Lloyd) Waun, Erma (the late Bob) Baird and Eleanor (Clare) Ritchie. Predeceased by her parents Lawrence and Minnie Curts and her sister Lorene Warren (2005). Eunice was a member of Grace United Church, an avid card player and loved to knit and crochet. She loved baseball and golf and was a former member of the IODE. Married to a banker Eunice resided in a number of cities in western Canada, notably Saskatoon, spending her remaining years in Sarnia at Bluewater Country. Family and friends will be received on Friday, October 11, 2013 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held to celebrate Eunice’s life on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
