It is with saddened hearts that the family of Glenn Alan Lecour announce his passing on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Bluewater Health, at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Gwendolyn for 39 years. Dear brother of Larry (Diane) Lecour and loving uncle of their children, Glenn (Melissa) Lecour and Michelle Lecour, and great-uncle of Amelia and Thomas. Treasured nephew of Millie Bishop and Helen Lewis. Lovingly remembered by extended family, Cory and Doug, Greg and Dana Murray. Predeceased by his mother Norma (Hugh Garrett) and his father Raymond. Glenn was a teacher with the Lambton Kent District School board for 39 years. He was a passionate coach of minor baseball and hockey for many years. Glenn was a member of the Sarnia Lambton Sports Hall of Fame. He was an avid golfer, and a longtime starter at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club. Glenn will be remembered for touching many lives, as a teacher, a coach and a friend, and will be dearly missed. Special thanks to Dr. Kim and the nursing staff of Bluewater Health Palliative Care for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Sunday, May 5, 2019, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held at the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, 500 Errol Rd W, Sarnia, on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Sarnia Braves Baseball Program or the Sarnia & District Humane Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
