HAROLD “DOUG” ROGERS
OCTOBER 4TH, 1951 – OCTOBER 15TH, 2018
After a short battle with lung cancer, Doug Rogers passed away peacefully at the age of 67, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Bluewater Health. Beloved husband of Barb (nee Gilverson). Loving father of Mark (Susanne) Rogers, Bryan (Sarah) Rogers, John Oravec and Rob (Alanna) Oravec. Cherished grandfather of the late Brady (2012), Lauryn, Aidan and Hannah Rogers, Pearl and Porter Oravec. Dear brother of Bill (Cathy) Rogers. Loving son of June and the late Vernon Rogers and son-in-law of Rauni and the late John Gilverson. He will be missed by his in-laws, extended family and several amazing friends. Predeceased by his first wife Carolyn Rogers. Doug enjoyed family time, sailing, and was a member of the Sarnia Yacht Club. He was passionate about motorcycles, and was a member of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Club of Sarnia. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at the Lighthouse Community Church, 152 Parker St, Sarnia, on Saturday, October 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Lighthouse Community Church or the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only at the funeral home please).
