Passed away peacefully in Sarnia on Sunday, January 8, 2017. He will be missed by his dear wife Mary Cameron Nethery, much-loved daughter Evelyn Cream and his magnificent Newfoundland dog Gryphon. Also survived by his daughter Margaret Cream. He had a close and loving relationship with his sister Margaret Moon and her children Catherine, Richard and James Moon. Having grown up in Quebec City, Bob spent many happy summers at the family cottage on Lac-Beauport. Mary’s sister Linda Nethery and her daughters Liz Fedryk (Mike) and Sarah White (Scott Cleaver) as well as great-nephews Kevin and Jeremy, brought great joy and merriment to Bob’s life. Over the years, Bob enjoyed the company of the Griffith-Jones family of Guelph. Bob graduated in Chemical Engineering from McGill University and his work in the Chemical Industry took him around the world to India, Japan, South America and Europe. Bob loved skiing, sailing and chemistry equations, but above all else, he loved his family. In later years, Bob received wonderful care from Niki Lemoine, Lori Gignac, Kane Matthews, and many Bayshore Staff. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Sarnia & District Humane Society or the Sarnia-Lambton United Way (cheques only at the funeral home please).
