AUGUST 9TH, 1977 – AUGUST 24TH, 2018
God needed a very special angel, so he called home Stephanie Lynn Stothers on Friday, August 24, 2018, with family and friends at her side. Heartbroken to be let go are her mom, Karen (Stothers)(Cook) and dad, Steve Baxter, her brother, Sean (Ashley) and nephews, Drew and Jordan, whom she adored. They were the light of her life. Survived by grandparents Howard and Helen Cook, Stella Baxter, her buddy Jessie, aunts and uncles Barb (Tom) Montgomery, Cathy (Larry) Landry, Dave Cook and many cousins. Stephanie will also be missed by the Baxter and Stothers families. Predeceased by her dad Roy Stothers, her grandma Pearl Cook, grandfather Harry Baxter and other family members. We sure hope heaven has a steady supply of Pepsi and mashed potatoes. They were Steph’s favourites. She loved her birthday, music, plays, bowling, going out to eat and was the biggest fan of Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Sarnia Sting. Steph and her mom were Sarnia Sting season ticket holders for a few years and never missed a game, couldn’t leave the game âtil the stars were announced and took every opportunity to get the players autographs. We wish to thank all the health care providers during this difficult time. For the Hill Street Group Home, words can’t express our gratitude for your friendship and kindness shown to Steph and her family during her time there. Now that she is free of pain, she will be welcomed by her father and the grandmother she never got to meet. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Monday, August 27, 2018, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Smith Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to Lambton County Developmental Services à Hill Street Residence (cheques only at the funeral home please).
