HESELTINE, James Park (Jim), of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, in his 84th year. Loving husband of Martha (nee Unger) Heseltine. Devoted father of Michelle Lappalainen (Ray), Jennifer Giglia (Wayne), all of Hamilton, and Ruth Anne Harrington (Ron) of Grand Valley. Proud grandfather of Andrew, Eric, and Stefanie Lappalainen, Kelsey Giglia, and Ryan (Emily), Michael, and Christopher Harrington. Jim was predeceased by his parents, John (Jock) and Jessie (nee Park) Heseltine, and by his siblings, Nan Elliott, Mary Rooney, and Jack Heseltine, all of Scotland. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 15, 1930. Jim was a retired office manager with CHLO Radio, St. Thomas. He was a member of Faith Church, St. Thomas, and was a former member and past president of the St. Thomas Curling Club. Relatives and friends will be received by the family at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) on Sunday, September 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Faith Church, 345 Fairview Avenue, St. Thomas on Monday, September 9th at 1:30 p.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park.
