Of Caressant Care on Bonnie Pl., St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, May 4, 2015, in her 86th year. Mother of Marianne Powell (Rick) of Calgary, AB, Mark Neal (Kathy), Marty Neal (Dianne Donald), and Mike Neal (Dina Juric), all of St. Thomas. Grandmother of Tracy Powell, and Scott Powell, of Calgary, AB, Josh Neal (Tammy), and Justin Neal of St. Thomas. Sister of Donald W. Skelding of St. Thomas, and Gary K. Skelding (Nora) of Simcoe. Also survived by four great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Lois was predeceased by her dear friend, David Crossett (2010). Born in St. Thomas, September 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and V. N. (Babe) (nee Wilkinson) Skelding. Lois was a member of the Community of Christ, St. Thomas, where she was a former member of the choir for many years. Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Friday evening, May 8th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Memorial Park. If so desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario will be appreciated.
