It is with profound sadness the family announces the passing of Giuseppe, after a long illness, on Friday, February 12, 2016 in his 75th year. Loved husband of Lucia (nee Tirone). Beloved father of Nicolo, Stefano and Alessandro (Ela). Cherished nonno of Giuseppe, Rodolfo, Santino, Lucia, Angelica, Isabella and Addison. Loved brother of Lucia Sardo (Salvatore), Fernanda Caldarella (Angelo), Salvatore (Antonia), Mario (Charlene) and Carmen (Anne). Loved brother-in-law of Joe Tirone (Lilia), Calogero Tirone (Anna), Sam Tirone, Angelo Tirone and Giovanni Tirone (Francesca). Loved nephew of Calogero Sardo (Santa). Predeceased by his parents Nicolo and Giuseppina and parents-in-law Stefano Tirone (Rosalia). Giuseppe will be greatly missed also by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of St. Joseph’s Hospital for their loving patience, care and compassion. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222) on Tuesday from 3-5 and 6-9 p.m. with Vigil Prayers 8:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday February 17, 2016 at 10 a.m. Entombment Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the St. Joseph’s Hospital or Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
