Avis de décès de Jackie McGaughey-Ward check_circle

She was a strong, beautiful soul who passed away comfortably, surrounded by her friends and family, at the Maison Vale Hospice on January 8th, 2017 at 56 years of age.

She was a lawyer who became a partner at Miller Maki LLP from 1989-2015. From 2015 to present, she was an associate of the law firm Conroy Trebb Scott Hurtubise LLP. Jackie was the North-East representative for CDLPA, past president and member of the Sudbury District Law Association, a member of the Advocate’s society and a member of the CBAO. Jackie also sat as a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court. A recipient of a Community Service Award from the Ministry of the Solicitor General and Correctional Services, Jackie was very involved in her community. She sat on the ethics committee of Maison Vale Hospice and was involved with her church as a reader, Eucharistic minister, Pastoral Council member, Parish Council member, Fundraising chair, and a member of the Catholic Women’s League. She will be missed by her mother Thérese McGaughey, her sister Christine McGaughey, her husband Robert Ward, her two children Tara Ward and Eve Blondeau, and her large amount of extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Chuck McGaughey, and her unborn son Mark Ward. She loved and accepted everyone unconditionally and always put others above her self. She loved doing things for others and never expected anything in return. Her strength and determination is inspiring, and she lived to the fullest of her ability in spite of her cancer. She is our Wonder Woman, and wanted all of her friends to know she loved them.
